【All Out with AJ Raval (2025)】

The All Out with AJ Raval (2025)KFC Waffle Double Down truly is the Pamela Anderson of fast food menu items: Something so quintessentially, obviously all-American that it comes as a shock to realize ... it's Canadian.

The sandwich is billed as a spin on the classic American pairing of chicken and waffles. It consists of two fried chicken fillets around a Belgian waffle – which has been drizzled with Canadian maple syrup aioli, in a nod to its unlikely country of origin.

Since the Waffle Double Down is not available in the U.S., you'll have to settle for feasting your eyes on this video.

My stomach hurts just looking at this photo, and yet I want this so bad.

According to KFC Canada chief marketing officer Samantha Redman, the original Double Down is "our most talked about and demanded menu item in Canada." It's been popular every time it's on the menu – whether it's in the classic form or a variation like the Zinger Double Down.

Canadians are embracing this latest version with a combination of desire and revulsion.

... While Americans have just one request.

The sandwich is available starting Monday, March 26 for a limited time only, so you'll want to run, not walk, to the border if you're eager to get a bite.

And then once you've gotten that bite, you'll probably want to lie down for a while, think about what you've done, and consider that it's for the best the Waffle Double Down isn't available back home. (At least not yet.)
