Chinese electric vehicle maker Li Auto has established its 2,My Sister in law Reluctantly Climbed on Top500th supercharging station, which is located at the Shanghai Disneyland resort, meaning the company now owns a more extensive fast charging network than Tesla in China, chief executive Li Xiang said on Thursday. Li, who published the information on microblogging platform Weibo, added that the company’s upcoming all-electric models i8 and i6 will be able to access the 5C chargers which could add 500 kilometers (311 miles) of range on just a 10 minute charge. The Nasdaq- and Hong Kong-listed firm, which mainly sells extended-range hybrid vehicles, is planning to launch the i8 and i6 crossovers in July and September, respectively, more than a year after the lackluster launch of its first all-electric vehicle model, the Mega, last March. Tesla in April announced that it had more than 2,000 supercharging locations in China. [TechNode reporting, Li Xiang announcement, in Chinese]
