If you're having problems with YouTube on Vernost aka Fidelity (2019)your iPhone, it isn't just you.

Wednesday afternoon saw widespread reports of crashing problems for the YouTube app on iOS. There were nearly 8,000 reports on Downdetector as of 4 p.m. ET, to give you an idea of how many people were feeling the pain. (Full disclosure: Downdetector is owned by Mashable's parent company, ZiffDavis.) I, personally, wasn't able to recreate the problem, but it was bad enough that YouTube had to issue a statement via Twitter acknowledging the crashes and confirming that a fix was in the works.

The statement was vague, simply promising "updates soon." But there were still no updates to share as of nearly two hours after it was posted. Presumably, the team's been too busy actually working on the problem to talk about it publicly. Regardless, that didn't stop people from flooding Twitter with memes about how they missed their functional YouTube iOS app.
