On Tuesday,overwhelmed by eroticism Starbucks opened its largest intelligent coffee production and logistics base in China, with a total investment of RMB 1.5 billion ($220 million), underscoring the Seattle-based coffee brand’s growing commitment to its second-largest market. The newly completed manufacturing site, situated near Shanghai in Kunshan city, is slated to serve as Starbucks’ national production and distribution hub in China, as stated by the company. Laxman Narasimhan, the new CEO of Starbucks, expressed to Chinese media outlets that China “presents tremendous opportunities” for the company, given that the current per capita coffee consumption in China remains relatively low compared to that of the US and Japan.[Starbucks]
